Dear Rosalyn,

Thank you for your letter which I received today as I was away over Easter.  I have a huge amount of paperwork to back up my complaints regarding the family which is why I wanted it viewed by people who have the power to round up the rest of it.

However, Bernadette Martin says that you are a decent person so I will wait for your decision before going public.

Kind regards,

Howard Lamb

Dear Rosalyn,

Please could you confirm that I am on your register for the whole of 2017.  As you probably know, your predecessor removed me whilst under complaint (on separate issues) and, as it turns out, for no reason at all, halfway through the year.

Please could you also confirm that you have seen my letters of complaint to Mr Howell, Mr Dunshea and Mr Button, and inform me as to your action.  There has obviously been a cover-up between the GCC, BCA and Hertfordshire County Council over child abuse, and breaches of rules, regulations, and laws, under your predecessors’ regimes.  I believe that you have been given a ‘poisoned chalice’ and at this moment do not hold you responsible for any of this.

A prompt response would be of great help so I can set the wheels in motion one way or another.  If your paperwork is a bit short at your end please view my patient’s website which will contain much of the information you need at www.justiceforautism.co.uk

Kind regards,

Howard Lamb

Dear Mr Lamb

All I wish to do is to establish whether you were practising, or seeking to practise, as a chiropractor between 13 October 2016 and 18 November 2016 and, if so, whether you held indemnity arrangements in accordance with the GCC (Indemnity Arrangement) Rules 2015.

I am not involved with the complaints process and will ask one of my colleagues to respond to you regarding your complaints.

 Regards

 Jamie

Dear Mr Button,

The insurance clearly states I am covered for manipulative therapy, which is what chiropractic is.  As I was not allowed to call myself a chiropractor during my removal from the register, which of course was overturned on appeal, it left a logistical problem of being re-insured with chiropractic on the policy which has been covered by the McTimoney bloc scheme.  I had been covered by indemnity insurance all the time and also with public liability from my limited company. I believe you are being unreasonable considering your mistake caused this situation in the first place. Please tell me what actions you intend to take and I will hand them on to my solicitor. Can you supply me all relevant details and outcomes of the complaints procedure against you and Mr Howell.

Dear Mr Lamb

Thank you for your response.

The GCC (Indemnity Arrangement) Rules 2015 require that a chiropractor is covered for providing chiropractic services, where a registrant is practising as such in the UK and therefore this must be explicitly stated in any policy, for example as it is in your insurance through MCA.

For avoidance of doubt, please confirm whether or not you practised as a chiropractor between 13 October 2016 and 18 November 2016.

Jamie

Dear Mr Button,

Please could you clarify your problem with the Westminster Indemnity policy which covers manipulative therapies.  Chiropractic is a manipulative therapy.  When I was taken off the register I could not call myself a chiropractor.  Obviously the Westminster Indemnity policy would cover any problems with claims, as would my public liability insurance.  I should not have been taken off the register in the first place.  The appeal clearly states that we are being downgraded to therapists rather than doctors so I really cannot see the problem.  I was covered until I was reinstated onto the register.  Obviously my insurance with the BCA had been cancelled and I took a few weeks to change to a new Association.

If this is going to cause a problem please let me know so that I can add this to the list for my solicitor to deal with.

Regards,

Howard Lamb

Dear Jamie,

Thanks for your e-mail.  Sorry for not replying yesterday but I am off on Thursdays.  Howard is on holiday this week but did come in to sign the retention form.  I am not able to reach him now but will pass on your e-mail to him on Monday when he returns to work.

Kind regards,

Sally

Dear Sally

Thank you for your email and the attachments.

With regard to the Westminster insurance, I wasn’t able to see where it stated that the cover was for providing chiropractic services. I would be grateful if you would advise.

Regards

Jamie

Dear Sally

Mr Lamb’s retention application form arrived in todays post. However, I have attached the declaration on the final page to this message and would ask that he ticks the boxes to confirm he has read and understood each statement and then countersigns and dates the page.

Also, please provide a copy of the indemnity policy previously requested from Westminster showing Mr Lamb has been covered for providing chiropractic services since his membership of the BCA ceased.

Regards

Jamie

Dear Mr Howell,

I have been waiting for several months for the GCC to respond to my complaints about you, Mr Button and Mr Dunshea, who seems to be continuing this cover-up.

The complaints were a clear conflict of interest and my subsequent removal from the register an abuse of power.  The GCC seems to be incapable of self-regulation and after the appeal clearly does not understand its own rules and regulations, hence my being re-instated to the register.

Despite having a complaints procedure it has not been enacted as your website dictates.  Before I go to more expense, which I am holding you responsible for, please let me know what has been done and who has or should have been contacted at the Privy Council about these issues.

Perhaps we as professionals should just ignore complaints from our patients and follow your lead.  Litigation would stop us from doing so yet you have not followed any of the protocols or procedures which are in place.  I could be wrong and you have just forgotten to let me know the outcome of the GCC investigations.  Please send me all of the paperwork concerning what has been done.  I assume there will not be any like Child X where you shirked your responsibility regarding duty of care and mandatory obligation to report child abuse, but at least I am giving you the chance to clear your name.

Yours sincerely,

Howard Lamb
